REG Danville is a 45 million gallon per year, commercial-scale, state-of-the-art biodiesel production facility in Danville, Illinois (near the Indiana state border). The facility was purchased by Blackhawk Biofuels, LLC in September 2008 who then contracted Renewable Energy Group to manage the facility and market biodiesel. In February 2010, Renewable Energy Group consolidated with Blackhawk Biofuels, LLC, to become the sole owner/operator of the facility. The biorefinery was upgraded in 2016 that added logistics enhancement and biodiesel distillation capabilities.
